Job description

Job Title : Expert Insurance Dispute Resolution

Experience : 4+ Years

Client : Government Entity (Direct Hire)

Core Responsibilities
  1. Perform detailed calculations and assessments in various insurance domains such as business interruption, life insurance, and other insurance-related matters.
  2. Draft decisions for the committee, ensuring each decision complies with the Civil Transactions Law, Commercial Law, Civil Procedure Law, Evidence Law, and foundational Insurance Principles.
  3. Address and counter legal defenses presented by dispute parties, utilizing legal appeals and principles to support comprehensive and balanced responses.
  4. Conduct in-depth studies and analyses of disputes, including reviewing responsive, commentary, and closing memorandums to ensure a thorough understanding and effective resolution process.
  5. Evaluate expert reports across different domains including vehicles, fire incidents, health issues, investment, and life insurance, recommending amendments or accepting findings in line with general insurance principles.
  6. Analyze dispute files thoroughly from both technical and legal viewpoints, offer opinions, and categorize disputes based on complexity (simple, medium, complex).
  7. Review and stay updated with legal appeals issued by the Supreme Federal Courts and the Courts of Cassation, applying this knowledge to current cases and decisions.
Self-Management Responsibilities
  1. Define performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensure that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
  2. Identify training and development requirements for self and agree on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required training is arranged and attended.
  3. Strive to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.
  4. Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
