Key Responsibilities
- Support the Floor Manager in maintaining high standards of service quality.
- Prepare the restaurant for service, including mise-en-place and setup.
- Familiarize yourself with menu offerings and provide explanations as needed.
- Treat guests with exceptional hospitality and attention to detail.
Duties
- Follow our established Cycle of Service at all times.
- Ensure professional and attentive service delivery, adhering to the style specified by the Floor Manager.
- Supervise cleaning of designated areas, maintaining hygiene requirements and schedules.
- Assist with mise-en-place distribution and task monitoring.
- Manage dirty or damaged napkins and replace them with clean alternatives.
- Take responsibility for service in your designated area during shifts.
- Collaborate with the Floor Manager on training programs, briefings, and SOPs.
- Monitor sideboards and stations, ensuring they are adequately stocked.
- Supervise waiters, take customer orders, and ensure accurate execution.
- Familiarize yourself with menu item compositions.
- Serve food and beverages according to established standards and customer preferences.
- Maintain table settings and ensure guest comfort and satisfaction.
- Accurately charge customers, present bills, and process payments.
- Promote good customer relations, addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct on-the-job training for subordinate staff.
- Uphold personal hygiene and dress code standards, setting an example for others.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Report suspicious packages or parcels to management immediately.
- Participate in fire drills and familiarize yourself with emergency exits.
- Update floor records accurately, including section allocations and checklists.
- Lead by example, supporting staff and promoting a positive work environment.
