Job Title: Automotive Technician

Qualifications

• Intermediate School or Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (Automobile)
• 2-year I.T.I in Automobile / 3-year Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a dealership, with at least 2 years as a technician
• Physical fitness to carry out repairs

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform diagnostic repairs according to manufacturer standards, following work instruction manuals.
2. Ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time (F1 - Fix it Right First Time).
3. Complete jobs within the allotted time frame.
4. Provide feedback on additional repairs to the Team Leader, Foreman, and Controller.
5. Notify the Team Leader/Foreman in advance about any work delays.
6. Work overtime as required by workshop load, upon request from the Team Leader/Foreman/Controller.
7. Record oils and consumables used on the Job Card.
8. Handle customer vehicles safely.
9. Raise parts requisitions as needed.
10. Fill out warranty tags, attach them with warranty parts, and store in the warranty room.
11. Obtain approval from the Team Leader/Foreman for additional or warranty repairs.
12. Use protective covers on customer vehicles.
13. Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
14. Follow workshop safety procedures and wear safety gear at all times.
15. Keep overhauls and shoes clean.
16. Use materials drawn on job cards solely for the respective vehicle.
