DIRECTOR - PLANNING, TRANSPORT AND LANDSCAPE
The Director - Planning, Transport and Landscape shall provide leadership, direction, and oversee technical excellence within the E&D - Planning, Transport and Landscape Capability (as part of the E&D - Capability) for the Middle East business. This role is directly responsible for the quality of E&D - Planning, Transport and Landscape deliverables. The Director will work closely with Markets and Accounts to ensure regional business revenue and EBIT targets are achieved, with a focus on maximizing profit from the overall E&D - Capability. The scope of technical excellence includes:
- Transport Planning & Mobility
- Strategic Planning
- Masterplanning
The measurable aspects and KPIs for this role include:
- Capability Strategy: Support the Regional Director - E&D in developing and implementing strategies to meet E&D - Capability performance goals aligned with the Long Range Plan (LRP), annual Business Plan, and specific targets for E&D. This involves supporting Markets and Accounts in achieving P&L, EBIT, and Headcount targets.
- Resource Demand Management: Support resource planning for E&D - Planning, Transport and Landscape, leading recruitment, retention, and performance management, and managing cross-business resource allocation.
- Technical Excellence: Manage the development and deployment of technical tools, techniques, and training for the capability, supported by Markets and Accounts.
- Overhead Management: Ensure resource management aligns with the overhead budget during the business planning cycle.
- Talent Management: Lead talent identification and development initiatives, including the 9-box grid for succession planning.
- Technical Development: Collaborate with Markets, Accounts, and HR to identify and implement technical development needs.
- Win Work: Support proactive efforts to secure new work involving E&D - Planning, Transport, and Landscape.
- Leadership & Vision: Demonstrate leadership qualities and AtkinsRalis behaviors, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
- Future Business Plan Development: Assist Markets and Accounts in developing and executing short, medium, and long-term business plans for the capability.
- Nationalisation Targets: Support in achieving nationalization and In Country Value (ICV) targets to sustain business operations.

- Support delivery excellence: Ensure high-quality project deliverables, develop and implement quality guidelines, and support client development activities.
- Operational Excellence: Promote best practices, identify process improvements, and manage capability risks with quarterly risk management plans.
