Job Description
Food & Beverage Supervisor
Main Responsibilities
- Provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, following hotel standards.
- Supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties in the assigned area according to the Master Task List, which is reviewed regularly.
- Be flexible and rotate within different sub-departments of Food & Beverage or other hotel departments as assigned.
- Perform duties and tasks when rotated and assigned to other departments as per the Master Task List.
- Be knowledgeable about all hotel services and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations, including HACCP standards.
- Maintain food hygiene and safety, ensuring equipment is functional and staff are trained.
- Perform duties common to all waitstaff and other duties as assigned.
- Report sales, guest complaints, and concerns related to personnel or equipment to supervisors or managers.
- Follow opening and closing procedures established for the work area.
- Manage inventory par stocks, control beverage inventory, and ensure adequate supplies.
- Assist in inventory checks and control requisitioning, storage, and use of supplies and equipment.
- Liaise with kitchen and other departments to ensure quality and smooth operation.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Be familiar with fire, emergency, and safety policies, and ensure staff adherence.
- Understand and embody Accor’s spirit, values, and environmental commitments, integrating them into daily operations.
Food & Beverage Product
- Assist in planning menus, advertising, and promotions.
- Use only fresh ingredients in food and beverage preparation.
- Control operating supplies to ensure smooth operation and minimize waste.
- Understand and explain food and beverage costs and discrepancies.
- Know menu items thoroughly and recommend beverage pairings and upsells.
- Prepare and serve orders professionally, following standards.
- Operate MICROS POS system fluently and handle transactions accurately.
Guest Services
- Handle guest inquiries courteously, report complaints, and follow up.
- Maintain high service standards and a welcoming image.
- Establish good rapport with guests and maintain relationships.
General
- Adhere to hotel policies and safety regulations.
- Report punctually in proper uniform and maintain personal hygiene.
- Maintain good relations with colleagues and a positive attitude.
- Participate in briefings, training, and meetings.
- Handle lost and found items according to policy.
- Respond flexibly to changing hotel functions.
Occasional Duties
- Assist in inventory and promotional planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B Manager.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.
- Experience in administrative support, ideally in hospitality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn.
