The Field Engineer understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems through analysis, technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 3-5 years of offshore installation experience
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar tools
- Understanding of design and offshore project execution
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with 3D software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel to various job sites and work in different environmental conditions

Responsibilities
- Ensure all work complies with Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment policies and procedures
- Be prepared to travel offshore and work onshore as required
- Recommend modifications to technical details and drawings to ensure safe operations and clarity in installation procedures
- Develop vessel layout and barge loadout plans for transporting materials, equipment, and structures offshore to facilitate safe and timely installation
- Participate in project constructability sessions, readiness reviews, hazard identification studies, and job safety analyses, communicating recommendations effectively
- Review project drawings and documents, report discrepancies, errors, and omissions
- Ensure work is within the capabilities of the proposed equipment
- Prepare offshore installation procedures outlining methods, sequences, installation aids, temporary works, and consumables
- Prepare material lists and liaise with the project coordinator for procurement
- Issue loadout lists based on recommended practices
- Coordinate with various departments and subcontractors to ensure equipment and personnel readiness
- Witness and inspect pre-rigging, loadouts, and sea fastening; acknowledge receipt of materials
- Coordinate with logistics for material movements
- Liaise with customer and subcontractor representatives offshore and with the Operations Engineer
- Monitor work progress and site conditions, advising the Operations Engineer of developments
- Conduct work scope presentations and issue field sketches, data sheets, and checklists
- Assist in resolving technical problems during offshore installation and formulate corrective actions
- Prepare post-job completion reports and as-built documentation
