Role Purpose

The IELTS Operations Manager manages all IELTS testing at IDP IELTS Test Centres in UAE, ensuring compliance, viability, and exemplary customer service and operational standards.

Key Accountabilities

Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure testing activities adhere to IELTS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct ongoing self-audits and contribute to policy refinement.
  • Support quality and compliance projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in the global IDP IELTS Good Practice Program.
  • Provide training and support to test centres as needed.
  • Maintain updated Results Integrity Policy.
  • Assist in developing IELTS policies and managing security risks.
Business Development
  • Identify new business opportunities through research and stakeholder analysis.
  • Engage potential clients via email, calls, and meetings.
  • Implement marketing strategies to promote IELTS services and expand market share.
Commercial
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee test revenue and costs, providing financial reports.
  • Analyze data to monitor trends and candidate targets.
  • Optimize test centre capacity and expand referral networks.
  • Coordinate with marketing and operations teams for information updates.
Operations Management
  • Ensure efficient testing operations.
  • Coach centre managers and develop business continuity plans.
  • Leverage opportunities for operational improvements.
Customer Service
  • Deliver outstanding candidate experiences.
  • Train staff in customer service excellence.
  • Handle escalations and customer requests promptly.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and partners.
Project Management
  • Participate in IDP projects and report preparations.
  • Represent IDP in stakeholder groups and initiatives.
  • Lead pilots and system implementations.
Stakeholder Relationships
  • Prepare presentations and communicate with external stakeholders.
  • Strengthen relationships with third-party centres and partners.
Required Experience
  • Experience in IELTS Test Centre administration and event/logistics management.
  • Knowledge of regulated environments and international education/testing sectors.
  • Qualifications in project and stakeholder management or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent English, excellent planning, customer focus, and communication skills.
  • Strong administrative, financial, analytical, and IT skills.
