Job description

The client is a global technology company specialising in financial services, with offices located in Dubai.

Your new role

In this role, you will serve as a Paralegal, assisting with day-to-day legal operations, managing documentation, supporting contract negotiations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, this role will work closely with the compliance team to support regulatory filings and obligations as required.

Your Duties

  1. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, client agreements, and partnership arrangements.
  2. Conduct legal research on regulatory developments, industry standards, and compliance obligations.
  3. Maintain and update internal legal databases, contract registers, and corporate governance records.
  4. Assist with company secretarial duties, including handling board resolutions, meeting minutes, and corporate filings.
  5. Work alongside the compliance team to support regulatory filings, reporting, and licensing applications.
  6. Maintain awareness of regulatory changes impacting the financial services industry.
  7. Oversee contract lifecycle management and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  8. Provide legal advice on new product launches, business models, and strategic initiatives.
  9. Help prepare responses to regulatory enquiries and financial audits.
  10. Organise and manage legal documents, both physical and electronic, ensuring proper archiving.
  11. Handle legal administrative tasks as needed on an ad-hoc basis.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a financial services firm.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks is desirable.
