Position: HSE Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi
Responsibilities
- Support and guide the protective security implementation team in safety compliance during the EPC phase.
- Review HSE plans and supporting documents.
- Review and finalize Method Statements and Risk Analyses.
- Coordinate with Transco HSE to obtain endorsements and approvals as needed.
- Review and evaluate the contractor’s HSE team, including Competent Persons.
- Ensure adherence to safe practices during site construction.
- Prepare safety reports and bulletins.
- Assist in investigating safety incidents and organize safety audits with recommendations.
- During tendering, assist in HSE evaluation of bidders according to TRANSCO/TAQA requirements.
- Review bidders' proposed HSE plans and documents for compliance with TRANSCO mandatory requirements.
Qualifications
- University degree (minimum four years of study) in a relevant field such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Process Engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge of HSE tools, Risk Assessment, Permit to Work systems, First Aid, Fire Fighting, Occupational Safety, and related standards. Familiarity with international safety regulations and emergency procedures.
- NEBOSH International or National General Certificate.
- Experience in HSE assessment and qualification of Contractors/Sub-Contractors.
- Excellent communication, coordination, organizational, teamwork, and reporting skills.
- Must have experience working with Transco.
