Job description

The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing regulatory reporting, financial analysis, audit schedules and perform month-end control activities. The role involves working with Excel-based financial models, posting accounting entries in the ERP system, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in line with internal and external requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of periodic regulatory reports in compliance with UAE banking regulations.
  • Post accounting entries for payments, accruals, capitalization and adjustments in the ERP system in accordance with accounting policies after validating source documents and required approvals as per the policy.
  • Maintain and update Excel-based financial models, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform month-end financial control activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and closing tasks.
  • Support the Finance team in tracking and managing expense and fixed asset accounting.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather information and resolve issues related to financial transactions.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Finance function to enhance accuracy and efficiency involving creation of reporting dashboards and automations.
  • Assist in preparing internal management reports and responding to audit and compliance queries.
