About the Role

dLocal helps some of the best companies in the world expand in emerging countries. We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Operations team. The main objective of this team is to ensure that operations run smoothly, productively, and effectively.

What you'll do
  1. Responsible for the day-to-day operations & set up mechanisms/processes to monitor payment success rates 24x7 across banks, partners, merchants, and improve the same through operational excellence.
  2. Formulate business strategies in terms of structures, costs, and business capabilities for each country we operate in.
  3. Implement efficient processes and seek new opportunities.
  4. Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization.
  5. Manage relations and negotiations with partners and local acquirers.
  6. Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts.
  7. Analyze performance results and optimize accordingly.
  8. Understand dLocal operations to detect and prevent operational and system/technical problems, and suggest improvements with strategic thinking.
  9. Work closely with other departments to support their needs by providing information such as transaction data, feedback from local providers, and analysis of current issues affecting clients and processes.
What we are looking for
  • A solid background in payments operations and a technical background is essential.
  • 57+ years experience as an Operations Manager in a similar business model.
  • Solid experience in banking, financial services, the payment industry, fintech, acquirers, or similar.
  • Openness to constant change in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment; a self-starter willing to work across time zones with global teams.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting.
  • Proficiency in SQL required.
  • Familiarity with all business functions including legal, finance, product, and IT.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Curious profile and positive attitude.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple activities and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Advanced/Fluent English skills.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Team spirit.
