Job Title: Material Inspector
We are seeking experienced Material Inspectors with a strong background in drainage sewerage, irrigation lines, and water infrastructure in Dubai.
Role Overview
The role involves working on projects related to storm water & drainage flood alleviation, wastewater networks, and water distribution networks. Responsibilities include investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration, and construction monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Delivery Responsibilities:
- Review contractor material submittals related to civil and piping works.
- Conduct data collection and analysis for planning and design phases.
- Perform asset condition assessments ensuring compliance with technical specifications, contract requirements, and local regulations.
- Prepare material specification reports.
- Assist in project administration, including information gathering, drafting proposals, tracking project costs, and preparing progress reports.
- Review work by designers and administrative staff.
- Identify nonconforming materials, generate reports, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Team Collaboration:
- Conduct technical and feasibility studies and site investigations.
- Coordinate with international teams to support project completion.
- Maintain strong communication skills in English.
- Experience in quality inspections and ISO 9000 quality systems.
- Client Service Management:
- Engage in client liaison, both internal and external.
- Build and maintain positive long-term client relationships.
- Experience with utility diversions and management processes.
- Health, Safety & Quality Compliance:
- Follow safe work practices according to company policies and safety standards.
- Ensure work aligns with core values, quality systems, and project procedures.
- Apply Design for Safety principles in planning and execution.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Resident Engineer.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in drainage, sewerage, irrigation, and water infrastructure in Dubai.
- At least 5 years of experience with Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) approval.
- Based in Dubai with relevant local experience.
- Knowledge of ISO Quality Systems.
