Head of Facility Management & Maintenance

Our leading catering company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled Head of Facility Management & Maintenance to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

We specialize in corporate events, weddings, private functions, and more. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic individual to lead the maintenance and facility management function and ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, safety, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure that all facilities, equipment, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, etc.) are fully operational and compliant with all local regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance strategies to avoid downtime and improve the longevity of assets.
  • Lead a team of facility maintenance staff and oversee external contractors, ensuring high standards of service.
  • Manage facility budgets, forecast expenses, and control costs while ensuring the optimal functioning of all operations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to address facility needs, especially during high-volume events and peak periods.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify and resolve facility-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all facilities.
  • Oversee emergency repairs and respond promptly to any unforeseen facility issues, minimizing disruption to business operations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in facility management and maintenance, ideally in the hospitality or catering industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and commercial kitchen operations.
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of local regulations and industry standards.
