About the job: Cover Homeroom Teacher - immediate start, Umm Al Quwain

We have been selected by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) to operate the Abu Dhabi Charter Schools program and by Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE) to operate schools in the Northern Emirates as part of the Ajyal (new generation) school initiative.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Homeroom Teacher for a short-term cover position starting immediately until the end of the Academic Year 2024/2025 for our school located in Umm Al Quwain.

Responsibilities
  1. Teaching classes, planning lessons, assessing and monitoring student progress, and providing guidance on educational issues.
  2. Challenging and inspiring students, preparing them for examinations, and promoting their wellbeing and safety.
  3. Collaborating with parents and staff to support student development, engaging in professional development, and curriculum enhancement.
  4. Maintaining professionalism, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills, with a passion for engaging with students and their families.
Requirements
  1. Own/spouse sponsored visa is mandatory.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Education with a minimum of two years of teaching experience as a Homeroom Teacher.
  3. Professionalism, commitment, integrity, and strong communication skills, with an awareness of different cultures.
  4. Innovative, motivated, resourceful, flexible, patient, and perseverant.
  5. Outgoing, positive, enthusiastic, with good spoken communication skills and the ability to encourage others and put them at ease.
  6. Experience with American or British curricula is an advantage.
