EMEA Sales Director, ISV Embedded Solutions

Join us to apply for the role of EMEA Sales Director, ISV Embedded Solutions at Canonical.

We are hiring a Sales Director, ISV Embedded Solutions in various locations to drive partnerships for licensing and embedding Ubuntu and Ubuntu Pro into software and SaaS solutions. Canonical supports ISV customers and alliances in building on Ubuntu and Ubuntu Pro, enabling fast, reliable, secure, and compliant solutions. We offer extensive open source software, backed by SLA support, cryptographic compliance, and security standards such as HIPAA and FedRAMP. We partner with major cloud providers, server manufacturers, IoT providers, and silicon vendors to optimize Ubuntu across environments.

The role involves:

  1. Driving embedded support and licensing sales with ISVs to exceed targets.
  2. Managing customer and partner relationships throughout the sales and support lifecycle.
  3. Engaging with the open source ecosystem.
  4. Developing partnerships aligned with Canonical's strategic goals.
  5. Collaborating with product management for platform enhancements.
  6. Negotiating contracts with ISV partners and customers.
  7. Shaping content and messaging for ISV partners and customers.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong academic background from high school and university.
  • Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to establish strategic relationships at all levels.
  • Passion for technology, with experience in software, SaaS, Linux, open source, cloud, and containers.
  • Experience in lead generation and business development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to meet commitments and deliver results.
  • Leadership, mentorship, and diversity appreciation.
  • Willingness to travel internationally twice a year.
