We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Finance Analyst who can generate actionable insights and develop simple tools and mechanisms to enable our teams to drive growth and profitability.

The Analyst will support retail category-specific finance activities, playing a key role in driving the function/category agenda and serving as a business partner to deliver results. Responsibilities include data analysis, business insight, developing annual plans, forecasts, trend analysis, and creating metrics to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate will be strategic, analytical, and capable of managing the finances of a high-growth business. They should work well in cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong leadership, have excellent attention to detail, and manage multiple priorities effectively. Responsibilities include:
  1. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Perform financial reporting, monthly P&L analysis, and forecasts.
    • Support monthly/quarterly financial closing activities.
    • Facilitate financial review meetings and work with managers on finance and cost management.
    • Measure and report on key business goals and initiatives.
    • Conduct ad hoc analyses, financial modeling, and present strategic recommendations.
  2. Strategic Planning and KPI Management:
    • Partner with leadership to develop multiyear operational plans.
    • Implement and monitor KPI metrics for performance tracking.
  3. Financial Controls and Projects:
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls.
    • Lead cross-functional system and process improvement initiatives.
  4. Business Partnership and Leadership:
    • Provide high-level support to business partners and present to senior management.
    • Build financial and operational analyses to influence leadership decisions.
  5. Additional Responsibilities:
    • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements from financial data.
    • Support training and onboarding of new team members.
    • Maintain and develop tools to standardize processes.

Typical day involves tracking performance metrics, analyzing data, building models, and identifying efficiency opportunities. The role requires independent work and collaboration with partners, with occasional travel to sites.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in tax, finance, or related analytical fields.
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable/Payable.
  • Proficiency in applying KPIs to analyses.
  • Experience in process improvements, automation, and analysis.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data mining and BI.
  • Experience with large-scale data tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
