Title:
Turnaround Static Planner
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the planning of all approved static equipment jobs included in the turnaround scope.
- Conduct site visits to verify scope of work, location, access requirements, lifting needs, and insulation removal.
- Identify turnaround activities, estimate resources and durations, and establish precedences to serve as main input for scheduling.
- Determine needs for assisted access (scaffolding, man-lifters) and insulation removal as preparatory activities; notify the scaffolding planner.
- Identify flanged joints for hot-bolting during pre-turnaround and prepare hot-bolting plans.
- Prepare and identify Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Read and interpret equipment drawings.
- Collaborate closely with the execution contractor to ensure understanding and commitment to the turnaround plan, which is vital for success.
- Prepare Work Instructions and Lifting Plans for static equipment works within the turnaround scope.
- Identify critical lifting operations requiring comprehensive rigging studies.
- Assemble Work Packages.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance and turnaround experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 3 years in a turnaround planning role.
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry and turnaround planning practices.
- Skills in planning, performance management, data analysis, and report writing.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Primavera.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
