The Role

We are hiring a Tax Manager to join our Finance and Accounting team as our organization grows and matures. The candidate will report directly to the Chief Accountant.

The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring the company's tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including the UAE, KSA, Egypt, Pakistan, Lebanon, and any other jurisdiction where the company expands.

The role entails robust Tax Planning, Tax Documentation, understanding of existing tax laws, analyzing new tax laws or changes, structuring and documenting transfer pricing policies, and ensuring accurate tax accounting in line with corporate tax, VAT, Sales Tax, and other regulations in jurisdictions where NymCard operates or plans to expand.

What You Will Do
  1. Develop a robust tax function.
  2. Create comprehensive Tax policies and process documentation across jurisdictions and coordinate with the Chief Accountant for implementation.
  3. Ensure compliance with Tax laws.
  4. Timely submission of tax returns and reports, including corporate tax, VAT, and Sales Tax.
  5. Understand Economic Substance requirements and prepare related notifications and reports.
  6. Maintain a healthy tax structure across the organization.
  7. Manage and implement Transfer Pricing policies and documentation.
  8. Review and suggest improvements to accounting systems for tax reporting and entries.
  9. Liaise with Tax Service Providers and Auditors regarding audits and returns.
  10. Support external auditor requests.
  11. Assist with month-end and year-end tax-related entries and provisions.
  12. Ensure compliance with IFRS principles.
  13. Report periodically to Senior Management.
  14. Perform other relevant tasks as needed.

  • 5+ years of senior experience in managing tax compliance and submissions; experience in the card payments or banking industry is a plus.
