A leading global organization in emergency medicine is seeking an Education Coordinator to support its educational strategy and activities. The role involves coordinating with various committees, planning educational programs, and ensuring integration across events. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and a full-time commitment.
The International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM) is looking for an Education Coordinator. The post-holder will preferably be based in IFEM's Abu Dhabi office but may have the option to work remotely from another country. The position is for 12 months, renewable, and offers full-time hours (40 hours per week) at a negotiable salary depending on the level of previous experience. Candidates must be able to commence employment in the Abu Dhabi office or remotely within 2 months of the job offer (if based in the UAE, they must hold a self-sponsored visa and health insurance).

Role Purpose
The Education Coordinator will support the planning and implementation of IFEM's educational strategy and activities, working closely with the ICEM (International Conference on Emergency Medicine) Committee and the Academic Committee. This role ensures coordination between IFEM's educational outputs and its major events, including ICEM, and facilitates alignment across relevant internal teams. The postholder will work closely with the Events Coordinator to ensure educational content is well- integrated into IFEM's event calendar. The Education Coordinator will report to IFEM's Senior Program Manager. All education and academic work is overseen by IFEM's Director of Academic Affairs.
Key Responsibilities
Committee Coordination and Support
-Act as the central point of contact for the ICEM Committee and the Academic Committee.
-Organize and document meetings, track follow-ups, and maintain committee records.
-Support the implementation of committee workplans in line with IFEM's strategic
goals.
-Monitor and support the delivery of key outputs including educational sessions, speaker engagement, academic publications and the development of the IFEM Academy.
Educational Program Planning
-Assist in planning educational components of IFEM activities, with a focus on
ICEM and other academic initiatives within the new virtual IFEM Academy.
-Support content development processes in collaboration with committee chairs and designated subject matter experts.
-Coordinate the collection, review, and curation of educational materials and academic submissions.
-Work with the IFEM Academy Technical Steering Group and the Advisory Panel to build a Learning Management Platform to integrate all components of IFEM's academic and educational work.
Cross-Team and Event Integration
-Liaise with the Events Coordinator to ensure education-related content and activities are integrated into event timelines and logistics.
-Supportcollaborationbetweencommittees,SIGs,groupsandrelevant stakeholders to align educational planning.
-Track deliverables and timelines to ensure smooth delivery across education- related workstreams.
Essential Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a
related field.
-At least 3 years experience coordinating academic or educational programs,
preferably in a healthcare or non-profit setting.
-Demonstrated experience in planning and managing meetings, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
-Familiarity with Learning Management platforms, and experience of coordinating end-to-end event planning
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (essential); additional languages are an advantage.
-High level of organizational and project management abilities.
-Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with international, cross- cultural teams.
-Willingness to work outside standard business hours when required, due to IFEM's global reach and international collaboration across time zones.
Desirable Requirements
-Experience working with medical or emergency care (education programs) or other healthcare organisations.
-Experience of working with professional non-profit organisations.
-Understanding of the global emergency medicine community or similar health- related fields.
