Job description

Organization Unit Purpose:

The unit is responsible for the appraisal, assessment, and control of credit exposures. It ensures that the group’s standards on lending and risk are met through proper credit control processes, including credit proposals, service level agreements, and risk management. The goal is to maintain asset quality, support sustainable growth, and ensure timely delivery and execution.

Job Purpose:

• Assess and process credit proposals in line with the bank’s strategy and credit policies.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of customer financials, industry risk, and compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations.
• Monitor the health of asset portfolios and proactively manage risk to prevent potential downgrades.
• Interact with business teams to support structuring and decision-making on credit matters.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance or a related fields, with certifications like CA/CPA/CMA.
• 8+ years of experience in banking, with at least 5 years in SME or commercial credit, ideally within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of credit products including Trade Finance, Treasury, Real Estate, and Project Finance.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes with due diligence.
