- Adherence to Safety Standards:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety regulations.
- Enforce safety protocols on site.
- Compliance with Building Codes and Regulations:
- Ensure construction adheres to all relevant legal, environmental, and zoning regulations.
- Ethical Conduct:
- Maintain honesty and transparency in all dealings.
- Avoid conflicts of interest.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and timely records of project progress, changes, and incidents.
- Professional Communication:
- Maintain clear, respectful, and prompt communication with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Coordination:
- Assist in project planning, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate between design team, draughtsmen, subcontractors, and suppliers.
2. Technical Support:
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Provide onsite technical guidance and problem-solving support.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Prepare method statements for all kinds of civil activities.
- Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct or assist with inspections and testing.
4. Procurement and Logistics:
- Support procurement of materials and equipment.
- Track delivery schedules and inventory.
5. Cost and Budget Management:
- Help track project costs with management and ensure adherence to the budget.
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor change orders.
6. Scheduling:
- Maintain and update construction schedules following project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
7. Communication & Reporting:
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management or clients.
- Facilitate project meetings and document minutes.
8. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
9. Contractor and Subcontractor Oversight:
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
10. Sustainability & Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure construction practices align with sustainability goals and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in marine construction engineering with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects.
- Valid UAE driving license.
