Job Summary:
The Electrical Supervisor will oversee all electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities on the ADNOC project site, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, and safety regulations. The role involves supervising contractors, coordinating with engineering teams, and ensuring timely completion of electrical works while maintaining quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision & Execution:
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities for power distribution, lighting, earthing, cabling, motors, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with ADNOC COPs (Code of Practices), IEC, NEC, and other relevant standards.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
- Conduct inspections of electrical equipment and installations to verify quality and safety.
2. Planning & Coordination:- Review electrical drawings, method statements, and work procedures before execution.
- Coordinate with engineers, planners, and other disciplines (mechanical, instrumentation, etc.) to avoid clashes and delays.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and highlight any deviations from the plan.
3. Safety & Compliance:- Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies (ADNOC, OSHA, NFPA) and permit-to-work (PTW) systems.
- Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety audits for electrical activities.
- Report and investigate electrical incidents/near-misses and implement corrective actions.
4. Quality Assurance:- Ensure all electrical installations meet project quality standards and approved ITPs (Inspection Test Plans).
- Witness and document tests (Megger, IR, continuity, HV/LV testing, etc.) and ensure proper handover documentation.
5. Troubleshooting & Maintenance:- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in LV/HV systems, motors, switchgear, and control panels.
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per ADNOC maintenance procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical supervision, preferably in oil & gas (ADNOC experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, Ex-proof installations, hazardous area classifications (IECEx/ATEX).
- Familiarity with ADNOC ETS (Engineering Technical Standards), SAP, and MAXIMO is advantageous.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- ADNOC HSE Certification (e.g., ADNOC H2S, PTW, Confined Space).
- COMPEX (Ex-Proof Certification).
- NEBOSH/IOSH certification.
