Position Summary
The Accountant – Accounts Receivable shall provide support to the Assistant Manager – Accounts Receivable in carrying out the daily activities and responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable (AR) function within the Finance Department.
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to all inquiries from students and/or their authorized representatives in a timely and appropriate manner, whether received via telephone, email, or in-person visits to the campus.
- Ensure that all daily data entries are accurately recorded in students’ accounts, including but not limited to payments, deferments, financial holds, and document release holds
- Maintain oversight of registration periods through effective coordination and collaboration with other sections within the Finance Department, as well as with other departments across the university.
- Process student refunds in accordance with established AUS policies and procedures.
- Prepare and issue 'To Whom It May Concern' letters for submission to external official entities, as required.
- Maintain and comprehend mutually signed contracts for sponsors, outlets, and IXO programs, and handle all their financial matters, including issuing invoices, maintaining records of required financial documents as per the terms of the signed agreements, and addressing all their requests and queries.
- Follow up on invoice payments from outlets, sponsors, and IXO programs, and generate related reports as required.
- Coordinate all financial matters with the Scholarship Office, Exchange Students Office, Procurement, sponsor representatives, and campus outlets to ensure timely resolution of all issues.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Arabic being mandatory.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills and a solid analytical background.
- Experience in credit management or credit-related functions.
- Experience in customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in a university setting.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA, CMA).
