Job description

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including cross-border transactions.
• Maintain proper records for client funds and company operating accounts in multiple currencies.
• Assist with regulatory financial reporting and tax filings (e.g. VAT, corporate tax, ESR, etc.) in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Support budget planning, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and assist in enhancing finance procedures.
• Collaborate with compliance and operations teams to ensure smooth financial workflows and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial services, forex, or fintech company.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and financial regulatory compliance in the UAE and/or international jurisdictions.
• Experience with multi-currency accounting and reconciliation.
• Strong skills in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite) and Excel.
• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication skills in English; other languages are a plus.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Dubai.
