Job Description
We are looking for a knowledgeable and safety-focused
Traffic Supervisor to oversee all temporary traffic management (TTM) operations for a high-profile bridge construction project in Dubai. The ideal candidate must be fully conversant with
RTA guidelines, regulations, and approval processes, and capable of ensuring public safety and traffic flow during construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all site traffic management activities in compliance with RTA standards and requirements.
- Prepare and review Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) plans in collaboration with traffic engineers and consultants.
- Liaise with RTA and Dubai Police to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and road closure permissions.
- Ensure all signage, barriers, lighting, and diversions are implemented as per approved TTM plans and RTA guidelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance, safety standards, and traffic flow efficiency.
- Lead and manage traffic marshals and ensure their proper deployment and performance.
- Respond to any traffic-related incidents on-site and coordinate emergency measures when required.
- Maintain proper documentation of traffic plans, approvals, incident reports, and inspection records.
- Participate in coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
- Provide training and briefings to site personnel on traffic safety measures and updated RTA regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in traffic management, with at least 2 years on infrastructure or bridge projects in Dubai.
- Strong knowledge of RTA Temporary Traffic Management Manual and other regulatory frameworks.
- Valid certifications in TTM (Temporary Traffic Management) from RTA or relevant training institutions.
- Proven experience coordinating with RTA, Dubai Police, and other relevant authorities.
- Ability to read and interpret traffic drawings, road layouts, and site plans.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
