Job Description

Role Overview :

As a Senior Electrical Engineer , you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical engineering design and technical documentation for EPC projects, focusing on oil, gas, floating or renewable (HVDC) in offshore environments. Working under the direction of the direct manager, you will manage assigned scopes of work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and technology partners.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Engineering & Design

• Execute electrical engineering design, analysis, and documentation for all phases of renewable energy projects, including conceptual, FEED, and detailed design.
• Develop and review electrical deliverables, including single line diagrams, load lists, schematics, layouts, and specifications for Auxiliary Electrical Systems.
• Perform technical calculations and system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination) using relevant software tools such as ETAP.
• Prepare and review equipment specifications, data sheets, and technical bid evaluations for major electrical equipment (e.g., transformers, switchgear, UPS, cables, lighting, earthing).
• Ensure that all engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, international standards (IEC, IEEE), and client requirements.
• Support the development of inter-discipline documents and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.

Project & Coordination

• Manage assigned electrical engineering scope, ensuring timely delivery in line with project schedules and budgets.
• Provide technical input during design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, including addressing technical queries (TQs) and supporting field teams as required.
• Liaise with technology partners and engineering subcontractors for alignment on technical solutions and interface management.
• Participate in client, vendor, and internal project meetings to discuss and resolve technical issues.
• Assist the Lead Engineer in ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards and in maintaining alignment with project goals.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure all work is completed without compromise to quality and in accordance with project schedules.
• Ensure adherence to international codes and standards such as IEC, IEEE, DNV-GL, Bureau Veritas (BV), and other relevant classification societies’ requirements.
• Support the review and resolution of engineering non-conformities and deviations, raising technical queries as needed.
• Promote a safe working culture by following safety procedures and participating in HSE initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in EPC or engineering design environments, particularly with offshore platforms and Auxiliary Electrical Systems.
• Solid experience with electrical system design and analysis, including power distribution, control, and protection systems.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools such as ETAP, AGi32, ERP, EDMS, MS Office.
• Familiarity with project engineering processes from concept through commissioning.
• Strong working knowledge of IEC, IEEE standards, and classification rules (e.g., DNV-GL, BV).
• Experience working on offshore and process platforms for major projects is preferred.
