The Role
The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of Onshore QC Engineers and Designers for large-scale Oil & Gas projects. This office-based role requires expertise in mechanical quality control and a strong procurement background, ensuring seamless execution, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to project specifications.

Key Objectives:
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, ensuring timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Develop detailed specifications, select appropriate mechanical components, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Provide technical leadership to the engineering team, conducting reviews and ensuring mechanical system reliability and efficiency.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless integration and quality control in mechanical engineering.
- Lead testing and commissioning plans for mechanical systems, ensuring proper calibration and optimal functionality of equipment.

Expected:
- Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas project design, spanning Conceptual to Detailed Design stages.
- At least 5 years in a Senior Engineer position for major Greenfield/Brownfield FEED/Detailed Design projects.
- Proven expertise in selecting instrumentation and control equipment, developing control strategies, and preparing technical specifications.
- Strong background in control system design, including control loop design, field instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, actuators), and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus).
- Experienced in leading and managing teams of 50+ engineers and designers.
- Ability to coordinate satellite office teams, ensuring productivity and quality control across multiple locations.
- Proficiency in industry software, such as InTools, Conval, SPI, 3D Model Review Tools (SPR & Navisworks), and MS Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable, capable of multitasking and thriving under tight schedules in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse, multinational teams and disciplines.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering work planning, interdisciplinary coordination, and quality control methodologies.
- Solid understanding of construction practices and the economics involved in large-scale mechanical engineering projects.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- 10+ years of experience in Procurement Quality Management, specializing in Mechanical Quality Control for Piping, Structural, and Pipeline systems.
- Lead vendor and subcontractor selection and approval processes, ensuring compliance with mechanical quality standards.
- Oversee procurement quality management, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and project specifications.
- Develop and manage inspection & testing plans, ensuring effective execution for mechanical components and systems.
- Conduct criticality rating assessments related to mechanical procurement processes.
- Supervise vendor/subcontractor inspections, audits, and non-conformance (NC) resolution, ensuring adherence to mechanical QC protocols.
- Define and monitor Procurement Quality Objectives & KPIs, driving continuous improvement in QC processes.
- Evaluate vendor & subcontractor performance, leveraging detailed analysis and assessments.
- Ensure accurate procurement document control, maintaining traceability and compliance.
- Conduct technical bid evaluations, resolve technical queries, and manage change requests effectively.
- Liaise with Third-Party Inspection Agencies, ensuring compliance with mechanical-related regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare and present procurement quality performance reports, offering key insights for process optimization.
- Review and approve vendor/subcontractor documentation, ensuring alignment with mechanical project requirements.
- Guarantee strict compliance with project codes, standards, specifications, and special regulatory requirements for mechanical QC in piping, structure, and pipeline projects.
