Director of Catering and Events - Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, this luxurious hotel features 389 rooms, 6 food and beverage outlets, and 12,000 square feet of meeting space. This includes a 3-meal restaurant, fine dining restaurant, tea lounge, bar, pool cafe, and in-room dining.

As Director of Catering and Events, you will provide leadership in creating and delivering an exceptional team member experience and foster a great workplace environment.

What will I be doing?

In this role, you will lead the Catering & Events team to achieve superior results in guest service, team engagement, financial outcomes, strategic leadership, talent development, and innovation.

Specifically, your responsibilities include:

  1. Strategy: Implement strategic initiatives, drive innovation, partner with leadership to create high-impact event experiences, maintain service standards, support sales, and provide owner relations guidance.
  2. Leadership: Provide overall direction, serve as a subject matter expert, engage with teams and external partners, stay current on trends, and represent Hilton in industry events.
  3. Culture: Inspire diverse teams, embed Hilton values, and promote customer service excellence.
  4. Talent: Motivate team members, support career development, manage conflicts, and ensure succession planning.
  5. Operations Excellence: Manage event spaces, vendor relationships, budgets, staffing, and trend integration, and participate in customer inspections and sales support.
What are we looking for?
  • Minimum 4 years hospitality experience in Catering/Events
  • At least 1 year of hotel management leadership experience
  • Luxury hotel experience required
  • Travel willingness of 10%

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of property management systems (Delphi.fdc), experience in revenue management, and relevant degrees or certifications (CMP, CPCE).
