Job Description: Logistics Manager – Transport/Logistics Division
Position Title: Logistics Manager
Department: Transport/Logistics Division
Reports To: General Manager-Project and CEO
Location: Al Tawyeen, Fujairah, U.A.E.

Job Summary
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the
transport/logistics division, including the day-to-day management of a fleet of trucks. The
role requires effective planning, coordination, and execution of operations to ensure
maximum fleet utilization, cost control, resource optimization, profitability, and adherence to
safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
1. Oversee daily transport operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and routing of
trucks.
2. Ensure timely delivery of goods to clients while maintaining efficiency.
3. Monitor driver performance and adherence to schedules and safety protocols.
4. Resolve operational challenges and ensure smooth workflow across all activities.
Fleet Maintenance
1. Ensure the fleet is well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulations.
2. Schedule regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime.
3. Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, expenses, and repairs.
Profitability & Cost Control
1. Monitor and analyze operational costs to identify opportunities for cost savings.
2. Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet utilization and reduce idle time.
3. Track and control fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and other operational
expenses.
Planning & Resource Utilization
1. Plan and forecast fleet requirements based on business needs and growth.
2. Optimize resource allocation, including personnel, trucks, and equipment.
3. Collaborate with procurement for spare parts, fuel, and other operational needs.

Reporting, MIS, and Documentation
4. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of fleet performance, driver logs, and
operations.
5. Develop, maintain, and circulate periodic reports and dashboards to monitor
operational metrics, costs, and profitability.
6. Create and manage a comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) for
streamlined data tracking and decision-making.
7. Provide actionable insights and reports to senior management for strategic planning
and performance review.
Team Management
1. Lead and manage a team of Maintenance Engineer, Supervisors, drivers, dispatchers,
and support staff.
2. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
3. Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and compliance
requirements.
Strategic Initiatives
1. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
2. Develop and monitor KPIs for continuous improvement of the transport/logistics
division.
3. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients and vendors.

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or
related field.
MBA in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
Proven experience of not less than 10 in managing transport/logistics operations,
preferably with a large fleet of trucks.
Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, route optimization, and cost control
strategies.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
Strong communication, reporting, and negotiation skills.
