Job summary

The Emirates Group is seeking a Senior Materials Planning Assistant to support Material Planning Officers and Supervisors in planning and procuring aircraft spares and tooling. You will contribute to maintaining optimum inventory levels and ensuring data accuracy in ERP systems.

Key duties include collaborating on part number definitions, data compilation for float calculations, stocktaking at DXB, and generating inventory reports. Strong MS Office and ULTRAMAIN familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• 12 years of schooling or equivalent.
• Engineering experience in Production Planning, Aircraft Maintenance, Workshops, Maintenance Planning, Technical Records or a related environment.
• Good understanding of aircraft documentation and records, including AMM, IPC, CMM, Work Packages and Maintenance Schedules.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of ULTRAMAIN is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and procuring aircraft spares and tools to meet operational demands.
• Review IPC, CMM and documentation and suggest alternate/breakdown part numbers or repair options.
• Assist data compilation for Float calculations, Float Review, Surplus reviews, non-moving parts, etc.
• Assist in stocktaking EK Inventory at DXB and support at Outstation stores for inventory accuracy.
• Assist in reviews of Gross Stock Value, Service Levels, Inventory Float & Quantities, Usage and other Inventory Control parameters in ERP.
• Assist with the generation and action of reports for inventory control.
• Assist in preparing usage of spares at outstations and update EK stock to identify shortages for new stations or aircraft changes.
• Coordinate with Repairs, Maintenance and Warehouse to follow up on material shortages and clear store discrepancies.
• Expedite open purchase orders/quotes with suppliers and freight forwarders to obtain materials/tools on time.
• Assist in data collection for daily, weekly, and monthly analysis reports.

Job description

As a Senior Materials Planning Assistant at EEMC, you will play a key role in assisting Material Planning Officers and Material Planning Supervisors in the planning/procurement of aircraft spares and tools, in order to meet all operational and maintenance demands. Assist to carry out inventory reviews in order to ensure optimum inventory levels and data accuracy.

In this role, you will:

• Work alongside Material Planning Officers and Supervisors in finding cost effective and timely solutions by reviewing IPC, CMM and other documentation and suggesting alternate/breakdown part numbers or In-House/In Situ Repair options.
• Assist the material officers and Supervisors define part numbers and setup interchangeabilities in the ERP system after collecting the required data from IPC, CMM, SB, S-file and other technical documentation
• Assist Material Planning Officers and Supervisors in data compilation required for Float calculations, Float Review, Surplus reviews, non-moving parts etc.
• Assist in stocktaking of EK Inventory at DXB and provide support at Outstation stores, to achieve the desired level of accuracy of inventory against physical stock levels.
• Assist in reviews of Gross Stock Value, Service Levels, Inventory Float & Quantities, Usage and other Planning Parameters of Inventory Control Module in ERP system, in order to maintain data accuracy.
• Assist with the generation and action of the various reports associated with inventory control
• Assist Material Planning Officers and Supervisors in preparing usage of spares at outstations and inventory reviews. Create station lists as per standard recommended spares lists and update EK stock wherever available to identify material shortages for new stations or aircraft type changes.
• Coordinate with Repairs, Maintenance and Warehouse teams to follow up on material shortages against Nil stock reports, assist in tracking Dues In components and clearing Store Discrepancies.
• Expedite open purchase orders/quotes by liaising with external suppliers and freight forwarders to obtain material/tooling as per the required timelines.
• Assist the Material Planning Supervisors in the collection and processing of data for submission of daily, weekly, and monthly analysis reports.

Qualification
