Job description

We are currently recruiting for a MEP Director - P&L Management Experience for our client to be based out of Dubai Office.

Purpose

As Business Unit Head, you will direct the formulation and implementation of policies for the Electro-Mechanical Contracts Business Unit to secure orders and execute projects profitably, aligning with the corporate strategy and elevating the company as a sought-after professional MEP engineering contractor.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the process of seeking new orders by identifying opportunities, bidding for tenders, submitting bids, negotiating, and booking projects to increase revenue within budget guidelines and authority delegation.
  2. Oversee estimation of jobs for accurate bidding and competitiveness to secure contracts.
  3. Manage the execution of projects from design, build, erection, installation, testing, commissioning, to handover, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
  4. Recommend the purchase of approved materials to control costs and improve profitability.
  5. Responsible for staff selection, recruitment, and training to build a talented team capable of efficiently executing projects with optimal resources.
  6. Coordinate with other divisions within the group to ensure smooth operations, leverage corporate image and resources, and expand the business.
  7. Ensure all work complies with quality, healthcare regulations, safety standards, corporate ethics, and governance.
  8. Initiate and execute strategies for resource consolidation, cost reduction, and division growth, with a focus on profitability improvement. Handle invoice collection and distribution.
  9. Strategically grow the MEP business across all segments, emphasizing district cooling, data centers, and industrial plants.
  10. Lead efforts to digitize end-to-end processes in engineering and construction environments.
Skills
  • Graduation in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; an MBA is a desirable qualification.
  • 20-25 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong leadership, motivation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent risk management capabilities.
  • Experience as a Head of Business with P&L responsibility.
