What You'll Do

Want to join a dynamic, growing SaaS company that's changing a multi-billion dollar industry? That's what we're doing here at Avalara. We are looking for a Senior Partner Manager, Technology Partners, responsible for our FastTrack accelerator partnerships and strategy.

This partner management position sets and leads our global strategy across our FastTrack-Build technology partnerships. You will drive strategy and execution of programs to exceed our revenue goals, customer and partner success targets, and overall partner profitability. This is a high-impact role requiring collaboration across multiple teams in Avalara including Sales, Customer Loyalty, Marketing, Product, Business Development, and our International teams.

This is a senior role responsible for our overall strategy that plays an important role in the company's success.

You will be fully remote and report to the Senior Manager, Partner Management.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
  1. You will develop comprehensive, multi-year go-to-market strategies for our FastTrack-Build and dealer management system (DMS) & field services partner cohorts. Lead regular executive reviews to align support and update progress to goals.
  2. You will develop a network of executive relationships at important partners.
  3. You will architect a rolling 12-month joint product development plan with key partners to keep the ecosystem aligned with Avalara innovations and changes.
  4. You will build a data-driven business case justification to guide decisions on products, programs, and business terms to improve ARR growth of your ecosystems.
  5. You will analyze data, identify trends, and develop plans to address opportunities and corrections.
  6. You will collaborate with teams to address customer success and partner success issues.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
  • Undergraduate degree in business or technology
  • 4+ years of experience in strategy consulting or go-to-market business development
  • 4+ years of experience managing strategic partnerships with ISVs, systems integrators, or consulting firms in SaaS ecommerce, accounting, ERP, DMS, or fintech space
  • Demonstrated analytical and project management skills, using relevant information to make critical decisions affecting cross-functional teams and investments
  • Experience building and growing strategic partnerships that deliver long-term revenue growth and satisfaction
  • Experience with ERP or financial software, ISV solutions, global organizations, or extended mid-market ecosystems
  • Experience managing global client partnerships
  • Proven results in influencing revenue or channel sales through global strategic system integrators
  • Diligent in measuring and communicating progress, identifying obstacles, and planning remediation
Pay Range Details

The base pay ranges below are provided in compliance with state laws and may vary by location:

  • Colorado: $122,300 - $195,700
  • Washington: $122,300 - $216,300
  • California: $122,300 - $236,900
  • New York: $135,100 - $236,900

Your actual salary may depend on factors like location, experience, and market conditions. The role is eligible for an annual bonus based on performance.
