Job Summary

Stantec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning and O&M Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning and operation and maintenance (O&M) of an odour management system for a major project in the region. This is a critical role that requires strong technical knowledge and experience in electromechanical and instrumentation commissioning, as well as expertise in SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the commissioning and O&M activities for the odour management system, ensuring that all systems are fully functional and meet project requirements.
2. Develop commissioning plans and procedures, and oversee their implementation.
3. Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting of electromechanical and instrumentation systems, including SCADA.
4. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors and vendors, to ensure timely completion of commissioning activities.
5. Monitor and document system performance during commissioning and throughout the O&M phase.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to the project team and clients.
7. Participate in safety and quality control processes to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in commissioning and O&M of electromechanical and instrumentation systems.
3. In-depth knowledge of SCADA systems and their integration with other systems.
4. Experience in odour management systems is highly desirable.
5. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
9. Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
