We're hiring a Senior Brand Manager for Bershka in Dubai!
Job Purpose
The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for leading the retail brand management team in crafting and executing strategic and value-centered plans for the brand. He/she plays a key role in contributing to the development of their portfolio of brands, focusing on the growth of assigned brands through operations, business, and product analysis.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the growth of brands by expanding into new geographical markets and extending existing brands into new territories, based on thorough market and commercial analysis.
- Conduct store validation report feasibility studies and recommend actions to grow the brand.
- Ensure that the terms, conditions, and rules of franchise and lease agreements are continuously implemented and respected, while fostering a professional and constructive rapport.
- Oversee the general performance of the stores under his brand portfolio and regularly inspect the store operations, pricing, and displays for compliance with set standards throughout the commercial calendar.
- Oversee and analyze margin files, including pricing, costs, and expenses, to ensure profitability. Provide strategic insights to the team by highlighting key focus areas and offering direction for improvement.
- Monitor the brand's performance across all markets and develop strategic action plans to enhance performance, taking full ownership and accountability for the brand's profit and loss accounts. Conduct comprehensive stock analysis and provide guidance to the team on improving stock management, optimizing store displays, and driving sales growth.
- Lead the team in ensuring accurate product selection based on the performance of each country, leveraging historical data and market trends to inform decisions.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure sufficient stock cover by collaborating with brand managers and internal stakeholders.
- Perform comprehensive analysis of P&L (Profit and Loss) and other financial KPIs to propose corrective strategies that foster sustained growth and profitability.
- Boost sales while managing margins and optimizing profitability. Continuously analyze stock rotation to maximize sell-through at full price and plan accordingly.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop the brand marketing strategy, select and execute marketing activities, and explore collaborations and partnerships that enhance brand awareness and drive sales.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop seasonal sales budgets for all markets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Specific for Buying Brands: Coordinate with key internal stakeholders to finalize the seasonal buying budgets.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base, and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company.
Job Specifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in a similar role.
- Six years of experience in a managerial position.
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in Spanish, or Italian, or French is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
