About The Job
Insurance specialist, experience in handling insurance function in large corporates or insurance companies, manage overall Insurance risk coverage, claims management, Risk surveys and resolution, demonstrated leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.
Insurance Policy Management and Negotiation
- Conduct a detailed analysis of policy coverage, indemnity and insurance clauses, policy wording, claims status, and risk management procedures to recommend strategic changes that enhance ADNOC Distribution insurance framework.
- Lead the negotiation and placement of cost-effective insurance policies, ensuring comprehensive coverage that aligns with ADNOC Distribution’s risk profile.
- Review and negotiate insurance contracts and endorsements to ensure compliance with ADNOC Distribution’s policies and standards.
Claims Handling and Resolution
- Oversee the technical adjustment of claims across different policies, implement robust claims procedures, and coordinate with external stakeholders to expedite claim resolution.
- Manage the insurance claims process and liaise with insurers, brokers, adjusters, and legal advisors to ensure timely and fair settlement of claims.
Risk Assessment and Management
- Drive the technical evaluation and risk engineering activities, promoting a culture of risk management and ensuring compliance with ADNOC Distribution’s policies and strategies.
- Perform risk assessments with Risk Owners for insurable risks and advise management on the appropriate insurance coverage required.
- Monitor insurance market trends and regulatory changes and assess their impact on ADNOC Distribution’s insurance strategy and operations.
Budgeting and Financial Management
- Manage the annual insurance budget, liaising with relevant departments to report on actual expenditure and optimize financial resources.
- Prepare and analyze reports and statistics on insurance claims and premiums and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Training and Culture Building
- Develop and deliver training programs to instil a strong insurance culture within the team and across other departments.
Advisory and Strategic Planning
- Provide expert advice on M&A activities from an insurance perspective and manage the insurance program for ADNOC Distribution’s local and international subsidiaries.
- Provide advice and guidance to business units on insurance-related matters and risk mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination of insurance activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in insurance and risk management.
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing insurance policies.
- Experience in claims management and resolution.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong negotiation skills.
