Job description

We are hiring an experienced machine operator to run the ITM Mark 9 cigarette making machine (5,000 cigs/min). The role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining the machine during production shifts to ensure stable output, minimal rejects, and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate the ITM Mark 9 machine in line with daily production plans

* Monitor filter feed, rod formation, tipping paper, and glue application during operation

* Adjust machine settings for length, pressure, and ventilation as needed

* Perform SKU format changes during or between shifts

* Record daily production output, batch details, and reject counts accurately

* Conduct basic machine cleaning and checks before and after shift

* Identify operational issues and escalate to the maintenance team when needed

* Follow all safety, quality, and hygiene protocols on the production floor

* Coordinate with QA and warehouse teams for raw material availability and in-line checks

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

* Hands-on experience operating the ITM Mark 9. Experience operating high speed machines is an advantage

* Minimum 2 years experience in cigarette production

* Strong understanding of cigarette specifications (length, weight, draw resistance, filter firmness)

* Able to work with high-speed machines (4,000+ cigs/min) under shift pressure

* Basic troubleshooting skills and familiarity with shift-based reporting

* Physically fit and comfortable working on factory floor during rotational shifts

Preferred (Not Required)

* Technical or vocational certification in machine operations or mechanical maintenance
