Job description

AtkinsRealis is looking for a Quality Officer (for PMC team) for a large low-rise residential project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Prior experience in the UAE (preferably Abu Dhabi) is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Producing, reviewing, and issuing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
  2. Overseeing the approval process of all materials and products for the project.
  3. Developing quality forms and checklists to ensure the quality of all construction works, including concrete, civil, and pipeline construction.
  4. Developing a system to ensure timely approval by the client of work stages on-site to keep works on schedule.
  5. Producing quality documents and issuing them to the client.
  6. Managing test results and distributing them to relevant parties.
  7. Managing the materials testing subcontractors.
  8. Liaising with designers, client representatives, and construction engineers regarding quality of works.
  9. Reviewing designs from concept to detailed design to ensure constructability to required quality standards (quality by design).
  10. Collaborating with project management and engineering staff to improve on-site work quality and suggest daily improvements to maximize production while maintaining high-quality standards.
  11. Proactively managing nonconformance issues.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in project management or a related field. Advanced certifications are advantageous.
  2. Experience: At least 15 years of extensive experience in residential projects.
  3. Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of residential developments, regulations, best practices, and trends within Abu Dhabi.
  4. Experience in producing and meeting Inspection and Test Plan requirements.
  5. Knowledge of construction techniques in residential projects (desirable).
  6. Excellent record-keeping and data management skills.
  7. Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical discussions.
  8. Understanding of Quality within the Design Process.
  9. High attention to detail.
  10. Experience with large, complex construction projects (low-rise residential/villas).
