JOB TITLE

Procurement Excellence & Governance Director | Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions | UAE

ROLE SUMMARY

The Procurement Excellence & Governance Director will be responsible for driving strategic procurement transformation across the organization and its operating companies (OPCOs). This role requires a highly experienced and influential leader who can engage with the highest levels of stakeholdersincluding Managing Directors, VPs, and SVPs and the C-suite to align on procurement operating models, policies, systems, processes, and ways of working.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Lead and oversee procurement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, budgets, and governance standards.
  • Establish a procurement framework that balances efficiency, compliance, and business agility across all OPCOs.
  • Continuously enhance procurement governance, policies, and risk management frameworks to meet regulatory and business requirements.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance data integrity, analytics, and reporting capabilities (Power BI), delivering insights to senior leadership (QBRs, Operations Reviews, and Board-level reporting).
  • Develop strong supplier management strategies, optimizing partnerships and ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Implement best practices in spend analysis, cost control, and procurement efficiency to drive financial sustainability.
  • Continuously refine the procurement operating model, defining clear KPIs, SLAs, and governance structures.
  • Ensure all procurement documentation, including policies, guidelines, workflows, and checklists, is comprehensive, up-to-date, and easily accessible across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Min 15 years of experience in a related/similar senior position.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA (preferred).
  • Strong customer focus mindset and understanding the needs of the business.
  • Must be capable of assessing legal and business risk when making decisions.
  • Great stakeholder relation management skills (high profile key stakeholders, such as CEOs).
