Aldar Education are currently seeking an outstanding Teacher-Music for Seer Bani Yas Charter School in Abu Dhabi commencing Academic Year 25/26.

Seer Baniyas Charter School is dedicated to public school students based in Mohammed Bin Zayed City in Abu Dhabi and offers an American-based curriculum to Grades 6 and 7. We cater for 622 Emirati students, all boys. The Middle School US Curriculum includes English, Maths, Science, Humanities, and MOE subjects, complemented by a wide range of extracurricular activities to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Responsibilities
Main Duties
  1. Deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve optimal outcomes.
  2. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly at all levels.
  3. Develop positive relationships within the school community.
  4. Plan lessons that meet curriculum requirements in partnership with fellow teachers.
  5. Work flexibly and liaise with colleagues as needed.
  6. Engage with parents to support students' happiness and academic success.
  7. Support children's development collaboratively with curriculum support staff where applicable.
Specific Duties
Teaching and Learning
  • Understand the curriculum thoroughly.
  • Organize classroom resources and create displays to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons catering to all ability levels.
  • Motivate students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
  • Observe and assess students according to school assessment protocols.
  • Reflect on teaching practices and adjust environments, plans, and curriculum accordingly.
  • Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists when necessary.
  • Embed the Seer Bani Yas Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum.
Assessment and Data
  • Take responsibility for the progress of your class.
  • Use assessment data to inform planning and interventions.
  • Communicate progress and development with parents during meetings.
Behavior Management and Duties
  • Adhere to the school's behavior policy.
  • Manage classes effectively, inspiring and motivating students.
  • Maintain positive relationships and exercise appropriate authority.
  • Model positive attitudes and behaviors.
  • Promote self-control and independence among students.
  • Participate in curriculum planning and school events as directed.
Wider Professional Responsibilities
  • Participate in school events, outings, and activities, including weekends and evenings.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student achievements and well-being.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related subject with PGCE or another recognized teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience

1-2 years of teaching experience.
