Associate Managing Consultant, Specialized Product Delivery (Cards Operations Specialist)

Role Overview

The Cards Operations Specialist supports managing all operational and administrative activities within the client's card operations. The role focuses on maximizing profitability, ensuring efficiency, security, and quality service, and managing costs through operational controls and staff performance management.

The responsibilities include reviewing card production, delivery, settlement, reconciliation, authorization, chargebacks, and dispute resolution processes to identify gaps and recommend improvements. The role involves analyzing GL structures, validating profit and expense lines, and developing robust operational procedures that conform to quality standards and controls.

The specialist will work on process improvements, establish performance and service standards, handle customer complaints, and ensure facilities are maintained. They will also provide staff training, collaborate with sales, projects, and IT teams, and support large program implementations from initiation to benefit realization. Building strong client relationships and identifying new business opportunities are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 7 to 9 years of experience in Card Business Operations, with thorough knowledge of Visa/MasterCard regulations.
  • Experience in cards technology and systems.
  • Prior experience as an Operations Lead in a large bank is preferred.
  • Ability to conduct detailed gap analyses and provide remedial actions.
  • Excellent project management and delivery skills.
  • Experience with chargebacks, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Analytical skills and willingness to travel.
