Objective:
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting of automation and technology business solutions for the Department. The role is responsible for providing technical guidance and assistance to users who encounter issues with the applications and managing application services and related issues, incidents, budgets, assets, interfaces, etc. The role should serve as an expert technical resource for the department's technology application landscape and be able to lead and mentor other team members in advancing the department's objectives.
Essential Duties:
- Manage an application portfolio and associated initiatives and enhancements.
- Identify opportunities for application optimization, redesign, or process improvement - focused on collaboration systems and internal tools.
- Build a strong technical culture around business systems that emphasizes technical excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences.
- Liaise closely with Information Security and other control functions to ensure delivery of secure and fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Analyze the business and technical requirements from day-to-day activities/ problems including requests received from business users.
- Evaluate different systems to automate whole/part of business area and prepare relevant Business Requirements Document(s) accordingly.
- Plan, manage and control the project tasks and activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Recommend multiple technical option / solution with appropriate information for the team leaders to choose a particular option.
- Make technical recommendations on solution and systems to improve processes.
- Responsible for the technical design of the applications assigned.
- Provide second level support to all vendor applications monitor day-to-day business Application Systems problems / errors.
- Participate in system life cycle development projects or enhancements.
- Follow up and track Services, Co-ordinate Vendor Support Issues, respond to service tickets in a timely fashion.
- Track, resolve and report incidents and known errors through the approved processes.
- Follow the mandatory and obligatory standards set by the management in delivering the services.
- Providing the necessary support to the Line Manager, and carrying out any other related tasks assigned to him/her.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology field or equivalent degree in a similar specialty appropriate to the job duties.
- It is preferable to have a specialized certificate in the field.
Experience:
- Preferable to have 3 to 6 years of experience in a similar field/position.
