The Role

An AWS Technical Account Manager is a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for our Enterprise Support customers. You will help customers maximize cloud technology value, craft strategies, and support their AWS adoption across products like EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, IoT, and more.

You will partner with startups and large enterprises, advising on architecture, support strategies, project planning, and operational issues. You’ll also provide guidance on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management, collaborating with various AWS teams.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Advising on solutions, providing technical guidance, and advocating for customers
  • Maintaining operational health of AWS environments while optimizing costs and complexity
  • Building trusting relationships by understanding business needs and technical challenges
  • Leading technical discussions on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
  • Engaging with developers to C-suite executives
  • Collaborating with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, and Sales teams
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for customer value addition
  • Reviewing service events, metrics, and launch planning
  • Solving migration and operational problems
  • Enhancing customer capabilities through workshops and training sessions

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in roles like Technical Account Manager, Solutions Architect, or Cloud Engineer
  • Understanding operational parameters for Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, DevOps, Security, etc.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer obsession
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Scripting skills in Java, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP (plus)
  • Background as Software Engineer, Developer, or DevOps Engineer
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools like CI / CD, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
