Scope:
To oversee and optimize the company's financial operations, ensuring robust cash flow management, accurate financial reporting, and compliance with IFRS. This role includes preparing and presenting budgets, driving strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, and implementing effective controls for accounts payable and stock management. The Finance Manager will also lead a diverse team, providing strategic financial insights to guide the company's growth and enhance overall financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Flow Management: Develop and maintain procedures for recording and updating cash flow status. Implement credit policies to safeguard interests and guide the sales team on credit terms.
- Accounting Supervision: Oversee functions within the accounts department, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company procedures. Maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
- Accounts Payable Control: Implement control checks for accounts payables to ensure timely payments and compliance.
- Budget Preparation: Collaborate with the General Manager to prepare the annual budget for review and approval by Senior Management, Audit, and Group CFO.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and MIS reports to summarize the company's financial position.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Forecast future payments and receivables to ensure sufficient funds for operations.
- Strategic Contributions: Play a role in mergers, acquisitions, and business consolidations by providing financial insights.
- Error Review and Correction: Review and correct errors in financial entries and reports, establishing effective systems for financial transactions.
- Stock Audit Supervision: Oversee stock audits, recommend measures to prevent variances, and inform management of findings.
- Stock Loss Control: Develop practices to minimize stock loss and ensure asset management efficiency.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze costs, pricing, and sales results, comparing actual performance to plans.
- Cost Reduction: Recommend ways to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Forecasting and Modeling: Conduct business studies and develop forecast models.
- Trend Identification: Identify financial trends and advise the company accordingly.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze actual results versus forecasts to assess financial status.
- Strategic Consultation: Guide management in strategic decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve processes and policies impacting financial functions.
Skills:
- Degree in Finance/Commerce with qualifications such as CA/ACCA/CPA/ICWAI.
- 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, including at least 4 years in a managerial role in manufacturing.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions and business consolidations.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial management principles.
