A leading hospitality company is seeking a Finance Clerk to support revenue verification and auditing processes. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or vocational certificate in finance, with at least one year of experience in hotel finance. Responsibilities include data entry, report verification, and assisting in month-end procedures, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of financial data.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Collect and verify daily revenue reports from Front Office, F&B outlets, Spa, Retail, and other revenue-generating departments.
Assist in reviewing and matching POS readings and Opera postings against cashier summaries and system-generated reports.
Ensure all rebates, voids, discounts, and complimentary transactions are supported by proper documentation and authorized approvals.
Highlight and report any unusual or unapproved transactions to the Income Audit Manager.
Support reconciliation of cashier reports, officer checks, entertainment checks, and general cashier envelopes.
Perform data entry and file audit records and backup documents systematically (electronically and physically).
Conduct periodic checks on room rate variances, complimentary postings, and promotional discounts to ensure correct application.
Assist in reviewing banquet revenues against BEOs and daily event summaries.
Help maintain accurate foreign currency exchange logs as per the hotel s policy.
Participate in month-end closing procedures, including posting approved income-related journal entries.
Assist in preparing audit packs and other documentation required for internal and external audits.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or vocational certificate in accounting or finance.
At least 1 year of experience in hotel finance or a related clerical position.
Familiarity with Opera PMS and POS systems preferred.
Good command of English, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
