Professional Profiles Sought
We are seeking specialists in the following areas:
Clinical Psychologist: Individual and group psychosocial support, diagnosis, brief therapy, and community mental health.
Community Development Psychologist: Promoting resilience, social cohesion, community empowerment, and psychosocial support in development contexts.
Educational/Pedagogical Psychologist: Providing psychological support in educational settings, developing learning strategies, and ensuring inclusion for students with special needs.
Specialized Educator: Supporting children, adolescents, and adults in vulnerable situations or with disabilities, aiming to develop their autonomy, social integration, and overall well-being.
Locations
Assignments will be based on project needs and candidate profiles. Locations include South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya, Cape Verde, and Ghana.
Job Summary
Selected professionals will design, implement, and monitor programs supporting vulnerable individuals and communities. Your work will involve direct engagement with beneficiaries, focusing on improving mental health, developing skills, fostering social inclusion, and providing protection, aligned with your specialization.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychosocial and/or pedagogical assessments to identify needs.
Develop and implement intervention plans.
Provide direct support to beneficiaries.
Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and group activities.
Build capacity of local teams and partners.
Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards.
Prepare reports and contribute to documentation.
Coordinate with other professionals and local partners.
Required Qualifications
Academic: Master's in Psychology (Clinical, Community, Educational) or Bachelor's/Master's in Specialized Education.
Experience: 2-3 years in your specialization, preferably in vulnerable or international project contexts.
Language: Fluency in Portuguese (oral and written) is essential.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal, intercultural skills, empathy, and adaptability in resource-limited settings.
Conditions and Benefits
Salary: €2,600 - €3,200 gross/month, depending on experience and specialization.
Benefits: Expatriation Allowance; Subsistence Allowance; 13th-Month Salary; international health insurance; accommodation or housing allowance; transportation.
