Job Brief:

A leading armoured steel specialist is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its manufacturing and design engineering service portfolio within the defence sector. This role involves regular client engagement, travel, and the promotion of advanced steel processing solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the defence and security sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, particularly with military contractors and OEMs.
  • Conduct weekly on-the-road meetings to understand client needs and promote company services.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets.
  • Promote manufacturing capabilities such as armoured steel processing, cold forming, and fabrication.
  • Manage client projects from initial engagement to final delivery, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Establish strategic partnerships to enhance service offerings and market access.
  • Conduct market research to monitor industry trends and identify new opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights.

Services to Promote:

  • Laser Cutting– Precision cutting of armour-grade and structural steel components.
  • Steel Fabrication– Welding, forming, and assembling complex steel structures.
  • Assembly Services– Mechanical and structural assembly of steel components and systems.
  • Protective Painting & Coating– Application of military-grade paint systems and anti-corrosion coatings.
  • Design Engineering Services– Technical support for product design, optimization, and engineering consultation.
  • Prototyping & Development– Creation of functional prototypes and pilot production models.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the defence or steel fabrication sector.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design engineering services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with military standardsand procurement processes is an advantage.
  • Must be based in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Willingness to travel frequentlyfor client visits and business development.
