Responsibilities
- Manage the preventive maintenance and repair of production lines to ensure higher plant productivity.
- Support Production in attainment of Daily Production Plan.
- Exercise regular cost control measures to keep the cost of parts & services at low levels to ensure maintenance expenses are kept on budget.
- Develop alternative suppliers, ensuring the factory has local support for regular and emergency maintenance activities, avoiding extended breakdowns.
- Select, negotiate, and approve the service providers/suppliers, spare parts to be ordered, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Advise on appropriate investments to drive continual improvement, including repairs, alterations to existing facilities, and additions.
- Develop request for proposal documentation with required details, and submit to suppliers for project bidding.
- Work with the HSEQ Department to proactively raise the plant standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities in line with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, Quality, Food Safety & Halal Standards, and other regulatory and customer requirements.
- Manage and coordinate with the Quality Department to resolve maintenance-related customer complaints.
- Identify and follow up with HR to fill existing vacancies and establish new job roles.
- Coach each direct report for personal development and performance against their work plan.
- Maintain the required spare parts stock, avoiding unnecessary items and shortages of important items.

- Plant Output (Actual downtime/Total plant running time)
- Number of complaints related to product specs (linked to machines)
- Maintenance Expenses (Actual maintenance expenses vs. budgeted)
- Maintaining conversion cost
- Unplanned downtime (%) related to maintenance affecting the OEE

Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech. (Mechanical/Electrical) with minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar position in a meat processing environment.
