Job Scope

The Assistant Human Resources Manager handles various HR functions such as staffing, employee relations, training, payroll, and more. You will work independently and as part of a team, supporting the HR Senior Manager and engaging with the business to develop strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage HR functions in Dubai including recruitment, compensation, performance, and employee engagement
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to improve effectiveness in the UAE
  • Ensure accurate payroll, attendance, leave, and overtime records
  • Maintain departmental records and reports
  • Enhance employee productivity and commitment
  • Build relationships within the organization and serve as a point of contact
  • Support HR strategies and change management initiatives
  • Collaborate with leadership to foster management and leadership development
  • Visit fields to build relationships with managers and staff
  • Identify gaps, implement plans, and drive performance improvements
  • Lead positive change in people management and organizational vitality
  • Propose impactful organizational changes
  • Model organizational culture and lead by example
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings for communication and goal alignment
  • Experience with Collective Bargaining is preferred
  • Plan and execute talent sourcing activities
  • Analyze data, prepare reports, and recommend solutions
  • Handle grievances and disciplinary procedures
  • Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires
  • Review staffing procedures and documentation
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc tasks

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 5-6 years of relevant experience in a sizable, fast-paced organization
  • Experience as a HR generalist, preferably in hospitality or travel
  • Experience in policy development and enforcement
  • Independent, proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of management principles
  • Strong team player committed to quality and deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office, HRIS, and payroll systems
  • Fluent in English; Arabic and additional languages are a plus
