Job Purpose
Lead and execute maintenance instrumentation work for all Instrument and Control (I&C) related maintenance activities.
Review work packages and other documentation to ensure and improve quality. Support the Quality Assurance (QA) process and follow the regulatory requirements, operating policies and principles, nuclear standards for nuclear safety, industrial safety, and environmental protection, to ensure overall business performance objectives are achieved.
Key Activities, Responsibilities & Accountability
Leadership/ Supervisory Support
- Stand-in for the Supervisor or Head (FIN) during their absence from the plant (Leave, sickness, training) and meetings as required to ensure overall supervisory support.
- Support the leadership of the team and sub-teams during work in the plant.
- Lead other maintenance teams as required to ensure supervision in the absence of another supervisor/Head.
- Demonstrate high standards of Human Performance, Maintenance Fundamentals, and LEAD behaviors to ensure competent supervision.
- Maintain technical competence through continuous training as per the qualification matrix.
Instrumentation Maintenance
- Lead teams and perform Instrumentation maintenance tasks to achieve operational readiness with safety and reliability.
- Ensure proper functioning of containment I&C equipment, including reactor protection, engineered safety features, radiation and seismic monitoring, and control instruments.
- Oversee maintenance of BOP I&C equipment like turbine cooling, water treatment, instrument air, gas treatment, and auxiliary steam systems.
- Review work packages for quality and completeness.
- Prepare and stage maintenance activities, including procurement requests for spare parts and tools.
- Attend pre- and post-job briefings to ensure alignment with standards.
- Review equipment master list and update OMS for better management.
- Implement foreign material exclusion (FME) and Corrective Action Program (CAP).
- Support self-assessments for continuous improvement.
- Execute troubleshooting to resolve I&C issues promptly.
- Take out work clearances for safe maintenance operations.
- Adhere to Maintenance Code of Conduct for safety and reliability.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards, complying with QA programs.
- Engage in industry best practices for maintenance quality.
- Address quality issues and plant deficiencies promptly.
Staff Training and Qualification
- Implement management expectations for maintenance conduct.
- Coach maintenance personnel for safety and performance improvements.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and provide feedback for program enhancements.
Professional Certifications & Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
- High School diploma
- 8 years relevant experience, including 1 year in a nuclear power plant
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
