Job description

• Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Utilize precision measurement tools to evaluate the dimensions and tolerances of mechanical parts, ensuring they meet design specifications.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to understand inspection requirements and identify potential discrepancies.
• Document inspection findings meticulously, providing detailed reports to engineering and management teams for quality assurance.
• Collaborate with engineers to address non-conformance issues, offering insights on potential design or manufacturing improvements.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in measurements.
• Train and mentor junior inspectors on best practices in mechanical inspection and quality control techniques.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring all inspections adhere to the latest compliance requirements.
• Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
• Support safety audits and initiatives, ensuring that inspection processes align with workplace safety protocols.

Desired Candidate Profile

• BS degree in Engineering plus a minimum of six (6) years of Mechanical Plant Equipment Inspection experience in the construction of Petrochemical or Hydrocarbon facilities.

OR

• Two (2) years industrial/technical College Diploma plus a minimum of twelve (12) years of Mechanical Plant Equipment Inspection experience in the construction of Petrochemical or Hydrocarbon facilities.
• Resume reflected a good background and knowledge of codes such as American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 510, 570, 620 and 650, AWS D1.1, required for the execution of the WORK.
